Nanodots are any of the small spheres in the nanoscale. They can also be considered nanoparticles or nanospheres.

Nanodots commonly exhibit many intersting optical properties which make them useful for application in some medical diagnosis. Usually, nanodots are made in a bottom-up fashion using self assembly. See below for a list of nanodots and a discussion of their properties structure.
